Seagate Confirms 3TB HD Coming later this year,,,,,

I don't know if I'm ready to try that big of a drive. The bigger the drive, the more you can loose when it crashes. I suppose that in a RAID 5 or mirrored setup there's a much lower risk of loosing data so I guess it would be acceptable in that case.

I think I'm going to stick to 2 TB and lower for stand alone drives.

I think the biggest gain in this will be the price drop for the 2TB drives.
