I moved a 5 disk storage pool consisting of 5 3TB WD greens. I moved it from a single CPU server with a ICH9R chipset to a dual CPU server with a ICH10R chip set. The drives are visible in the BIOS but are not visible in the OS in either the disk manager or disk part. Why is this and how can I fix it. The storage pool contains the back up of my 4TB of DVD's so I would like to not have to reformat them but how can I have the recognized. The original storage pool server was a storage server 2012 VM in a server 2008 R2 host box, the new system is a Server 2012 R2 Datacenter and I would like to connect them to a server 2012 r2 server acting as a ISCSI server. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Do the Disks shows as Foreign in the Computer Mngt Console?

If so, you need to import the disks?  Rescan the disks in Computer Mngt Console and see if you can import them

You need to reload the drivers as the new OS will not pick up the card or array.  Once you do that it will be there as before.
