Windows 8 Pro Hyper-V Slow USB3 Performance

I'm using Windows 8 Pro Hyper-V Host and WHS 2011 guest. When Server Backup Drive VHD is connected to SCSI Controller via USB3 R/W speeds are extremely slow. When Server Backup Drive VHD is connected to SCSI Controller via ESATA R/W speeds are fine.

No Drashna, it's not the drivers :D It's connected to the Intel USB3 port not the ASMedia USB3 port. Has anybody else experienced this problem? I don't think I had a performance hit when I used this method http://blogs.technet.com/b/hollis/archive/2012/02/21/accessing-usb-drives-in-a-hyper-v-vm.aspx but I didn't want to dedicate the entire disk.

This is the first time I've heard of anyone using USB natively with Hyper-V, let alone USB3. I just tried passing thru a USB3 portable external drive on my Win8.1 desktop and it worked great. Don't have any performance results to share, but at least I know I can see USB drives in Hyper-V now.

In your situation I think I would try dedicating the entire disk, to see how the performance compares.
