woter324
Hi everyone, I'm trying to source a motherboard that support 64GB memory in a MicroATX form factor. This is to replace my, at capacity, SuperMicro X9SCM-F. I've gone through most of the usual contenders, Intel, ASUS, SuperMicro, Gigabyte etc, but haven't been able to find anything in the 64GB bracket. I really don't want to have to go up to ATX as the cupboard won't take it! Additional nice-to-have functionality includes: IPMI / BMC / iLO. Xeon CPU support. Available to the UK market. Able to run ESXi 5.5. (Not necessarily "supported"). On board RAID controller. If anyone knows of such a motherboard, I'd be grateful if you could post a link. Many thanks. W. oj88
^ What he said. You can try getting into a time machine and go several years into the future. But seriously, with those specs, it can get hot enough to burn a hole through your cupboard. They can reduce the size of blade servers because the power supply and vent fans are on the chassis. Guest no-control
His problem is he's using a platform (1155) that only supports 32GB. you need either Intel x79 or AMD c32 plaforms
