Hard drives not showing up

I am new to all this so please bear with me.

I have a N40l with the Bay's bios hack and that went very well.

I have Windows7 installed on an ssd coming off the internal sata connection. This drive is fully fuctional.

I have 4 ms-dos freshly formatted drives installed in the cage and none of them show up anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would suggest that you check the connection for the drive cable. Unplug and replug it. Joe Miner has made a few YouTube videos if you need to see how it's done. Just look around for them.

The cable is a bit tricky to get out because of the silver metal clip.

The BIOS should be to AHCI for those drive to show up.  Check that as the BIOS flash probably changed it.

Problem solved.

It was the drive cable, I evidently didn't push it in far enough when I reinserted the mobo tray.

Thanks for your help.

Ditto -- thanks for posting back so others can benefit from your experience. Obviously credit to diehard for pointing you in the right direction, but he's been pointing people in the right direction for a long time (which is amazing since most Quebecers don't seem to have any sense of direction at all :D )
