Active CPU cooling for the Gen8

That's a NH-L9i, right? There aren't clearance problemas around the CPU then?

I was thinking of doing the same, but was afraid the cooler would hit the motherboard componentes around the CPU.

 

But, if it fits, it means you can 3D print brackets to fit the original holes.

Gday guys, ran into an issue after installing an NH-L9i cooler. I bought a 4pin molex splitter to 3 pin to tap into 12v power but doing so doesn’t seem to power up my 3.5” hdds. 

 

Is there an an alternative power source I can use? I’m contemplating a usb to 3pin but that might be too slow for the fan powering @ 5v. Thoughts?
