What OS to choose when WHS 2011 not supported for a driver or application?

I installed a HP P410 Smart Array controller in my N40L that I have WHS 2011 as the OS.

But as we know many things with HP do not officially support WHS 2011.   And even the driver for the for the P410 I would need to choose from a long list of other OS's.

Which one to choose? ...

WHS 2011 is from the same family as Server 2008. If you look closely, I think you will see that all of the 2008 drivers for the P410 are the same driver.

Actually, specifically it's built on "Server 2008 R2".  There are differences between 2008 and 2008R2.

But chances are, yeah, all included with the same drivers...
