I'm waiting patiently. I have a set of wd red drives to raid on that beautiful piece of metal.

Next we need to figure out how to put two 2.5" drives up top!

As I do not plan to build any more of the SDM Rev4 brackets, I have decided to share the schematic.   https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ao9ObX1BCpuXsstkeE7Jc5cyRmYTFQ?e=8ouDcP   Edit- This is a

Uh, Vance Fox, I don't believe you can install WD Reds on the adapter plate; they're too thick. As schoondoggy posted earlier, the there's only room in the Gen8 for low profile 3.5" drives.

:)

I have a pair of these waiting too, Leaning towards using them with an adapter plate but have been humming and hawing as I have a new pair of 240GB Seagate 600 SSD's. I'm leaning towards the NAS drives though for consistency with four 4TB WD Reds already populated on a P222.

or how about four 9.5mm 2.5" drives mounted on the SDM? I am working on little plates that would let you stack two drives on top of the two that are mounted. I think there is enough room as long as the drives are only 9.5mm tall. Heat can be addressed with a small fan. Cabling may be a bit of a mess.

I guess these drives must be new. Newegg.ca doesn't even list them, and I can't order from newegg.com (not that I'm really looking for 2.5" drive ATM anyway).
