Vance Fox 5
I'm waiting patiently. I have a set of wd red drives to raid on that beautiful piece of metal. Next we need to figure out how to put two 2.5" drives up top! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
ikon 439
Uh, Vance Fox, I don't believe you can install WD Reds on the adapter plate; they're too thick. As schoondoggy posted earlier, the there's only room in the Gen8 for low profile 3.5" drives.

Helzy 11
1TB WD Red WD10JFCX I have a pair of these waiting too, Leaning towards using them with an adapter plate but have been humming and hawing as I have a new pair of 240GB Seagate 600 SSD's. I'm leaning towards the NAS drives though for consistency with four 4TB WD Reds already populated on a P222.

I am working on little plates that would let you stack two drives on top of the two that are mounted. I think there is enough room as long as the drives are only 9.5mm tall. Heat can be addressed with a small fan. Cabling may be a bit of a mess.
ikon 439
2.5" WD Reds? Cool. I didn't know they exist. Thanks Vance Fox. Too bad they're still only 1TB.

ikon 439
I guess these drives must be new. Newegg.ca doesn't even list them, and I can't order from newegg.com (not that I'm really looking for 2.5" drive ATM anyway).
