schoondoggy
Now that a fan mod is underway (I think Im gonna be the guinea pig for that mod since noone else seems to want to test it), Im highly looking forward to getting your bracket It would be nice to see some options you did and did not explore. Example, Im gonna get 3.5" drive simple because they are cheaper per space. Problably a blank no brand drive to work as my system drive with 4 other seperate HDDs in a DrivePool. I just need to know what drives are compatible with your bracket. Example, Seagate has a ST1000DM003 (1TB) with specs stating its height is 20.17mm and it has a ST500DM002 (500GB) with a 19.98mm In the 2.5" section all they have is ST500LM021 (500GB) with 7.0mm (actually a SSHD) Thanks doggy and Im sorry about the first time around. My Dell T20 came with a ST1000DM003, so I was able to test this. You need to use the countersunk screws to make it as thin as possible; There is just a fraction of an inch between the drive and the case cover. The 1TB Red 2.5" have come down in price.
kevin.cheng
Hi schoondoggy, do you have any update about the new design for 4 x SSD drives? I'm planning to use 4 SSD drives, I may need to use velcro to stack them up (2x2) if there is no any mount for them. thanks!

schoondoggy
I have not posted any drawings. I keep looking for international shipping alternatives, but I have not found a cheaper route that handles customs well.

ikon
Shonk, I think you would be better to take this conversation private, in a PM to schoondoggy.
HellDiverUK
Just a quick note to say thanks for the prompt delivery from schoondoggy. All the way from his house to mine in the UK in less than a week. Haven't tried the bracket yet, as I ended up buying a Lenovo TS140, but I think I'm falling out with the Lenovo and might end up with a Gen8 after all...
