Help me decide: ECC or Non-ECC

I follow the vendor qualification. In the case of MicroServers, HP certified them with ECC, so that is what I use.

I'm reading your question as, "Is there any point to using ECC RAM in a home environment?". It can be a tough decision. Like schoondoggy, there are those that want to stick with the vendor's specifications -- nothing wrong with that, and it does provide some assurance that RAM isn't causing any issues you might run into. Others are less concerned about such concerns. In the end, only you can decide what your tolerance is for risk.
