The Console not being there is probably 1 of the 'mopping up' items to be taken care of before final release.

True enough in which case it should be possible for Jim to access it from the Hyper-V manager on another machine.

I can neither confirm nor deny that it is working in there, because you can only run one instance of Hyper Visor on the same physical box.   In other words, I was trying to run the new VM inside the current Hyper V Server and it flat out refused to activate.

Maybe this is my problem.  I am running this instance on top of WS2012 Standard?

I'm trying to run mine as a VM and then trying to enable the Hyper-V Role.  That's the issue.....it's not supported at least not under my CPU (see sig line)

Hey ikon, I'm averted my eyes.

Jim, you're so fancy these days, trying to nest your hypervisors ;-)

Installing R2 Essentials on my skunkworks ESXi box now...

New beta fish to gaze at during install

FYI, I cannot do inline graphics with such Dropbox URLs anymore, it says:
You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community

(then I tried again by editing this post, and despite the same error, it worked, seen below)

In case it helps, I had a similar issue with not being able to post inline images. What it turned out to be is that I was copying the URL from the browser address box, but for some reason it didn't include the actual image's file name. Once I noticed that, and ensured that I had the full URL, including the image's filename, all became good.
