WS2012e client PC not receiving the connector update after UR2

Is there a way to manually trigger a client connector update from the server (or client) if they're not receiving it automatically?  I have an external machine on the domain connected via DirectAccess.  They can access the server, but are not getting the client update for some reason.  Am hesitant to uninstall the connector and reinstall it as I don't know what impact those steps would have on the PCs existing domain membership.  Thanks.

If it helps, this is what can be seen in the ConnectorUpdate log file on the client PC that can't receive the update:

For others who also might have a client connected to their server via DirectAccess, this issue appears to the client being unable to resolve the server's ipv4 address after installing UR2 on the server.
