FiLiNuX
Hello, There is TONS of great information out there for Linux as a home server and step by step guides for exactly what you are looking to do (xbox 360 streaming, using webmin, etc). Ubuntu (good choice for 1st Linux server) provides a "Ubuntu Server Guide" for free on their page that is pretty easy to follow. It covers everything from installations to VPN's and everything in between all broken down in nice sections. It is available at ; https://help.ubuntu.com/ (from here you select which version of Ubuntu you are using & then select Server on the next pages). Or you can jump right to the guide for the latest version of Ubuntu Server (13.04) here; https://help.ubuntu.com/13.04/serverguide/index.html For your XBoX streaming questions (and about ANYTHING Ubuntu related) you can usually find a answer & step by step instructions at the Ubuntu Forums; http://ubuntuforums.org/ I am new here and have not (YET!!) read the rules here and am not really familiar with this type of thing so I hope posting external links is not a problem. If you have specific questions I will be happy to help if I can. Once getting a little used to it most find they can never use anything but *nix systems. Those are some great links -- It's good to know where we should point people to look for good answers -- I appreciate you jumping in with some great references!
