Chris_ni
Hi, First time posting. I have an HP Proliant N40L and have installed an HP Smart Array P410 RAID PCI-e card, however the system won't detect the actual card. Is there a BIOS update required or has anyone had a similar issue with the N40L detecting RAID cards? Regards, Chris
schoondoggy
Do you have the stock BIOS or modified BIOS on the N40L? Have you tried the P410 in another system to confirm that it works? Edited May 22, 2013 by schoondoggy

schoondoggy
You can use the offline configuration utility to see if it can find the P410 as well; http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=329290&prodSeriesId=3883890&swItem=MTX-3c888073127c4c65b7bd8559eb&mode=
