Seagate Backup Plus 4TB USB 3.0 Black Desktop Hard Drive - as internal

I'd like to see if anyone here has experience with the  Seagate Backup Plus 4TB USB 3.0 Black Desktop Hard Drive as an internal drive.

It is my understanding that if the box has a Windows 7 logo on the box it is a 7200 rpm drive inside the enclosure.  And if it has a Windows 8 logo it has a 5200 rpm drive inside the enclosure.

Thanks for the info.  I was wondering if anyone who has actually taken these out to use as drives for a server.  If they reformatted them or if they needed a firmware update, etc..  Thoughts / opinions?
