To work around this issue, create a USB key by using the Create Key wizard on the server that has this hotfix installed. Then, use the USB key when you restore the client.Issue 2When you select what to back up, the EFI partition may not be an option. However, the EFI partition will be automatically included in the backup.Issue 3When you perform a Bare Metal Restore operation on a UEFI-based client, the operation may fail on the last page of the restore progress. PrerequisitesYou must have Windows Home Server 2011 installed on the server to install this hotfix. Restart informationYou may have to restart the server after you apply this hotfix. Run the following command in an elevated command prompt window:wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:2781272 Restart the server. Join the client computers you removed in step 1 to the server. eagle63
So are most new machines using UEFI, or is it still not that common? How about some of the newer win8 ultrabooks, or even the Surface devices?

So are most new machines using UEFI, or is it still not that common? How about some of the newer win8 ultrabooks, or even the Surface devices? I'm assuming that you can backup a Surface Pro, not sure about RT. I'm guessing that UEFI will become the new standard for OEM's just as 64bit has. ikon
Don't care about RT Seriously though, my real concern is my Surface Pro. Besides, the RT has cloud backup as I understand it.
