I am moving from whs 2011 and i have setup my windows server 2012 and when i go to install the connector, go through a couple of step and then it asks me to restart my computer, so i restart it, it then shows the start up pages like when you install windows 8 for the first time saying we are settung up everything for you. After this is done i get to my login page and my local account is no longer there, i have a domain login or an email login, is there any way to maintain the login screen like it was initially?

I'm not sure if this is what you were looking for but:

Tinkererguy has documented how to join the domain then "back out" and use a local logon and workgroup:

and he has a video here

SBSDiva has posted links to the 2012E Virtual Accademy that may help with big picture stuff

And I've been using AutoLogOn as well as NetPlWiz

This Gem from No-Control is worth studying http://www.racecarmike.com/auto-logon-clients-using-ou-and-gpo-in-server2012-essentials/
