Guest no-control
I'm working on an HTPC shootout type of show where we're going to review pro/cons for various ways of providing media. While I'm covered with W7MC, mediabrowser, AplleTV, WDTV and Roku. I need to hear from some users regularly using the following: XBMC Windows 8 MC PLEX Apple TV <-no Hacks andriod based sticks RaspberryPi For XBMC you must be using frodo: Windows <- must be using it for live TV in North America ubuntu <- must be using it for live TV in North America OpenELEC <- must be using it for live TV in North America ATV iOS Android RaspberryPi ****If you fit these requirements, please PM me so we can arrange a time to chat over skype. Thx!**** Edited January 30, 2013 by no-control
ikon 439
Leaves me out; don't do any of that.
cskenney 155
Michael You should try talking to Cabldevil (Bill). He is using Plex with a Raspberry PI running a version of XBMC (possibly RaspBMC). Also, awraynor (Tony) is using AppleTV but I believe his might be jailbroken.
ImTheTypeOfGuy 55
I use the same ones as you so no help.
GavinCampbell 18
I'm a heavy xbmc user (windows/raspberry pi/atv2) but don't use it for live tv. Up here in Canada I dont think the tuner cards even work with rogers. Basically use it in all my rooms to stream videos from my server. Just upgraded everything to the final version of frodo today. Been running the beta's the whole time. Let me know if I can be of assistance.
ikon 439
Yep. In Canada, cable tuners are useless. We don't have the law that mandates them in the USA.
Renny 4
Get onto Ian Dixon over at TheDigitallifestyle.com he is all over this stuff or perhaps Josh Pollard and his crew
