Anybody price out a System Board Replacement yet from HP?

According to the HP ProLiant MicroServer -- Spare Parts guide the System Board with 2.2-GHz processor is part number 708503-001 -- has anybody been able to find a source or price for that System Board? Basically you could use that System Board to turn a N36L or an N40L into the new N54L machine.

 

I've tried recommended HP suppliers but no luck so far.

I haven't done HP/Compaq service since the early portion of the new millenium (the time where Carly was pushing the merger hard), but non-warranty parts sometimes cost so much that it wasn't worth the trouble.

 

I would hope we could find it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it cost $200-300 for the system board as a part.

Most likely you are correct. For example, a relative has a business that uses many computers for his clients. Recently, a client's monitor failed. It was a special purpose monitor, so he called to find out how much it would cost to repair. He was told $540. The monitor costs $500 new
