Joe_Miner
Materials needed to install a 3.5" HDD in the ODD 18” SATA cable (SATA II or III – doesn’t matter) (my personal preference is to get only SATA III cables so I never have to worry if a cable is a SATA II or III) if you are plugging the 3.5” HDD into SATA port on MB – otherwise if plugging the 3.5” HDD into the eSATA port on the back and snaking it through/into the case you’ll need something like the Tripp Lite Model P952-18I 18” SATA to eSATA Transition Cable Adaptor: Star Tech 6” 4-pin Molex to SATA 15-pin Power Cable To secure the HDD you could use Duct Tape, Electrical Tape, or any of the 5.25” to 3.5” adaptors such as StarTech BRACKET Metal 3.5” to 5.25” Drive Adapter Bracket or something like a DuoSwap MB971SP-B
cskenney
My personal choice was to use both the SATA cable to the MB and the eSATA cable snaked in from the back. Both are connected to my DuoSwap MB971SP-B.
