Microsoft dishes out Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008 R2 details

http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/19/microsoft-dishes-out-windows-7-sp1-windows-server-2008-r2-detai/

RemoteFX seems as if it could be useful for a number of different Media related tasks in something like Windows Home Server.

For example, if you can use Silverlight, Flash and other forms of audio and video then clients would only need to RDP into the server to access media such as the output of a CableCard.

Or am I reading too much into this?

It sounds like a very promising and powerful solution. It also sounds cheap to implement. Although having to buy a new device like a ~40
