awraynor 98
how to geek also featured this, but i like seeing all the shiny tiles, but I can also watch a progress bar and be entranced. i've heard a possible intro video for windows 8 and think it would be a great idea as hot corners and the charms bar aren't easily discoverable. supposedly the new win8 keyboards will have special keys too, i guess for the charms? http://www.howtogeek.com/108349/how-to-boot-to-the-desktop-skip-metro-in-windows-8/

jmwills 284
Well, I tried it and cannot report success or failure. I have two monitors on the Win 8 machine and one goes to the "desktop" and one goes to Metro just as it did before. Long Live Windows 7!!
