budgall
I recently had to re-install the connector software on 2 client computers. After installing the connector, I re-installed HHS. On both computers HHS does not display on the task bar nor can I get it to open the settings page on the desktop. The process manager shows that HSS is running on both computers. Both computers run Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate. Any suggestions on getting HSS to appear on taskbar and allow me access to the settings Bud

When doing so, you will be required to re-enter your registration and any configuration changes you had previously made. budgall
Hi Jerry I now have HSS up and running again, thank you for the quick response. As you suggested I deleted the settings.xml file from the programdata/home server status folder and restarted HSS, however it still did not work. I then uninstalled HSS, deleted the 2 HSS folders in the programdata folder and ran a registry cleaner. I rebooted the computers and reinstalled HSS and HSS was back up and running. Thank you again Bud
ikon
Jerry, I'm wondering if you would consider a small cleaner utility, or even add it to the install, perhaps as an option: "Would you like to remove any previous traces of HSS from your computer before installing?"
