SkyDrive Limit 7GB: Need to Upgrade to Keep 25GB!

Recommended Posts

Microsoft is changing the storage limits on your free account to 7GB. However, if you logon to your account you can "upgrade" back to the 25GB for free.

Seems kind of silly but who am I to argue to keep something free for a few mouse clicks.

Talk about timing. I just 5 minutes ago stumbled across this. I updated to/reclaimed my 25GB. I also dl'd the desktop Skydrive app. Integrates like Dropbox does.

Yeah. I meant to post about this earlier. It's been all over Twitter, and I did tweet about it. I locked in my upgrade a few hours ago.

Skydrive might want to include bandwidth throttling and the ability to pause, a la Dropbox.

This is a cool app except for one thing. It seems to be an all or nothing. Dropbox allows you to select which computers get which folders which is a bit safer. Awesome overall.

Ya, it's not there yet. Hopefully, they continue developing. I mean, 25GB is nice and all, but how about some control?
