RDP Thin Clients and a hot spare bedroom

Why thin client? wouldn't a standard server and SFF client easier to deploy? You can still use TS if you want. Honestly I would just RDP into the server and work off that environment, like you would a thin client. That way you can run the server on an as needed basis have it power up when the client needs it, but when it doesn't like work or something the client would be more efficient. Sure the client draws around 30w or so but just having the server sleep for an hour would cover the cost of operating the client. not to mention the heat output.


Just my opinion. Seems silly to implement a terminal for a single user.
