mattd390
Can anyone suggest a (if possible) free benchmark that could be used to test the Intel Smart Response Technology? I have heard that some benchmarks can damage SSDs and didn't want to ruin mine in the testing process.
pcdoc
I would suggest ATTO. Most benchmarks copy about 6 gigs of data during the process and should not be run over and over again. If you run it once or twice for testing most will be fine. The do not really damage SSD, they fill the drive and put it a used state and it take time for windows to catch up and trim the SSD. Get ATTO and use some control when testing you drives. Remember that testing smart repsonse on a spindle drive is not the same as testing a full SSD. Smart reponse will for the most be minimally affected by benchmarking.
