Memory RAM upgrade 2022

Hi at all! I recently bought a second hand HP Microserver Gen8 G1610T for a nice price. It came with 4GB RAM and I'm looking for memory upgrade to install 16GB.

 

Due to it's an old model, I can't find any compatible memory modules (from the HP official support list) in local/online stores, so my last option is to search in AliExpress. First of all, I won't use the Microserver for production purposes, so AliExpress shouldn't be a problem.

 

I found these modules (8GB 1600MHz). Could anyone tell me if is it compatible?

In the description for the module you linked to they reference 'Reg' which refers to registered memory. Registered memory will not work in the MicroServer Gen8. You need to find 8GB DDR3 1600 ECC UDIMM. If I was buying locally I would try these:

I ordered two modules of 8GB DDR3 1600 ECC UDIMM from this link. There are people that says it works with Microserver Gen8 in the comments.

as long as they are 8GB 1600MHz ECC UDIMM PC3-12800E they should work fine.
