altiport
I plugged a new network card (HP I210-T1) on the PCIe x16 slot. It is a PCE 1x card, but it should work, shouldn't it? Well, it is not recognised at all. The system is running Ubuntu Server 16.04. I followed Intel's guide to install a driver, but to no avail. The card does not appear in ifconfig or lspci Any suggestions are welcome Thanks
schoondoggy
Have you tried the card in a different system to confirm it is working or connect a network cable to a switch to see if you get link lights on the card?
altiport
Followed your advice and the card turned out faulty. Replacement NIC works fine on PCIe x16 slot. Thanks
