You are correct as I got the same response. We had brought this up a few podcasts ago and I have been running it for over a month now and it seems to be doing a great job although I paid $39 for it so you got a good deal. I have mine running real time and no impact on performance that I can see. I think this is a great solution, stable program and reasonably priced.

I see Dell has AVG® File Server Edition 2012 for $15.99 -- this is looking like a real possibility. Nice find!

Sorry about that, can you try:

https://connect.microsoft.com/site981

and login with your Microsoft Live ID and see if that works for you?

If it doesn't, that just likely means you haven't signed up for the beta yet then, no problem, just visit the URL (also mentioned earlier in this thread) for sign-up, pasted here again for your convenience:

The "Microsoft Security Essentials Beta program" has started, if anybody is interested in trying this, just follow the instructions here:

https://connect.micr...981/program7299

I've got my hands full for the next few weeks with this virtualization/backup project, and may not be able to get to testing this. Meanwhile, I continue to have the older Forefront continuing to work fine for my needs (helping to protect 4TB PC backups and 1TB of shares on WHSv1, and soon WHS2011).

Completed my first survey in the Beta program -- not too exciting when everything runs smooth.

I hope that you added a comment that you want to see MSE for WHS 2011...

OK, this topic never dies. I found this about G Data add-in on WHS2011 and also license for 5 PCs.

I don't use anything on the server now, but am always looking out for something that is specifically designed to install. Maybe I'll bite, but I also have not really heard of G Data before. Anyone else?
