oldwhs12
I have purchased a used HP Proliant Microserver Gen 7. I have installed WHS 2011 on it. I wanted to start with a clean slate and tried to change the Workgroup name. The machine tells me “The identification of the computer cannot be changed because: The certification authority service is installed on this computer”. It tells me the former operating system was Windows Server 2008 R2? Is there a way to reset the server to the initial factory status where I could start over with WHS 2011? Am I making a big deal out of nothing? I am here a way over my head and would appreciate your kind help.

oldwhs12
cskenney, thanks for your kind response. I have a setup with the server mentioned. and three Win 10 workstations. I will try to make the system functional with the server the way it is. Microsoft no longer uses the workgroup anyway. Any comments?
