I forget what I was looking for but stumbled on this renewed server. Didn't seem like a bad deal considering its potential.

Looks like you will have to add a video card.

So, real time follow up, after putting all of this into a post I found a couple on eBay cheaper and the HP LSI card can be found on eBay for a decent deal. So, maybe this isn't the best deal but it looked clean and at least has a 90 return window since it's Amazon Renewed.  A little shopping around may save you though.

Technically, these are workstations, so they are from HP not HPE so there is no restriction on access to BIOS files.

Another possible plus for these, they can use registered memory. I tend to find deals on used registered memory as datacenters upgrade server memory. Lots of CPU choices If you by them right, these can be good building blocks as a workstation or a server. Two 5.25 bays could turn into an IcyDock for four 3.5" drives, plus the two internal 3.5" drives. I thought I think I saw a mod to remove the front handle and add a 5.25 IcyDock for 2.5" drives. Plenty of PCIe slots to add NVMe or gaming cards, depending on if you want a workstation or a server. On ebay, search for these near your home, generally you can get them to waive the shipping for local pickup. The support pages at HP are a good source of info as well.
