ATA Errors - Replacing SATA Cables HELP!

I was wondering if anyone knows of a blog post or youtube video which gives me a run down on how to fix one of the SATA Cables as I just cannot understand the backplane bit.

I know that it is not  my harddrive as I have taken it out and tried it on other machines but BAY 3 only half works at I get a bunch of Read/Write ATA errors with it.

I have even tried putting in a brand new harddrive but same problem.

So I was going to try and replace the cables to see if that will fix it.

Any information on replacing the cable and even the best cable to buy would be great.

Its been a while since I had my Gen8, but you can pop the top off and the backing plate and check the cables are tight on the back of the plate, might just be a smidge out of alignment and not making decent contact.

I undid the two top screws to the backing plate but it did not want to move at all and I was a bit worried using too much pressure.

So was wondering if there may have been anything else I had to do.
