I have a HP Microserver N37L
On boot i am getting
Fan missing
Critical Failure Detected Error System shutting down
Cant get past POST
Fan is running well, I have tried a different fan, also removing control so it is on full

Any ideas how to bypass to get to BIOS possible dissable fan error or even flash bios as it wont get past post

Even though the fan is running well, the monitoring portion of the fan could be the issue.

When you tried a different fan, was it the same model fan from HPE?

Hi I ordered the fan in link as I couldn’t find original fan.
It is a 120 and it’s PMW. link below.

I have the pin-out as they are different and have pushed pins out with iPhone sim tool so they are correct.
mom wondering if it’s possible to bypass or if the board itself is dead.

I've got a VERY noisy ML110 G7, the fan noise is very well known and plagues the model (fortunately I only use it as a backup so it doesn't run 24x7) but in my experience the HP fans cannot simply be switched out without the system getting upset. I think you would be better off trying to source an original fan.
