Does anyone already have some experience with a non-standard CPU?

E.g. Xeon E-2236

HP indicated a Xeon with QuickSync support wouldn’t work on the G10+. Not a big deal. Just started setting mine up. Added a PCIe NVMe card to boot from M.2 NVMe drive. Installing WS2019 Std. Just not a VMWare ESXi fan.

Pretty sure QuickSync and stuff like that is unlikely to be supported in a server type device, regardless of what CPU you put in there..

E-2246G works amazingly, I thought the E3-1230v2 I had in my Gen8 was impressive, but this is a definite step up.

I installed the CPU prior to installing the OS, i'm pretty sure it would be seemless though.

GarethC, are you finding that CPU support Intel QuickSync hardware acceleration when added to the Gen10 Plus?
