Yes. It just doesn't seem to like it. Might need to return it and try another card

What chip/controller is on the card you have?

Chip/controller is ASMedia Technologies. Card model says it is the LT304 but I can't see a manufacturer

I ordered another one SEDNA - PCI Express Dual mSATA III (6G) SSD Adapter but it is ASMedia as well and doesn't work

I found this post which says this card will work so will order it and report back.

Final update on this with a successful outcome

The new card came which also had the exact same chip/controller as the other two.

I found this video which shows you how to copy your Windows install disk to the mSATA drive and install from there which worked for me.

The issue was that I was using a USB ISO emulator hard drive device so it was seeing another drive even through I had disconnected the rest. I burned a DVD and booted into that which confirmed it was the device I was using to install Windows.

I now have the original card installed and will try and send the OWC card back.

  • Thanks 1
