Got the reburbished P410 today, a day early.  Might be able to try it this evening. Hope it is the fix.

It may be a good idea to not connect the drives to the new P410 until you get the driver loaded and update the firmware.

So I could just pull the drives out of the racks and put them back in when I'm successful, shut off of course?

I've got it all put together,  I just want to charge the aaa batteries I'm using for the custom battery pack I made for the P410, the one I made at the same time you made yours.  I just never used it yet.

You do not need to pull the drives out, just do not connect the data cable. I would leave the drives in their bays so they stay in the correct order.

what do ya know!  It was the controller.  The refurbished one I got was recognized during the BIOS startup.  I loaded the driver you recommended ,  I shut it down again and reinstalled the drives.  Should I start it up again to Windows with the drives in now?  I numbered the drives 👍

Or boot with the SSA usb I made up as per your recommendation 😎

I just booted to windows with the drives back in.

It’s all there!

I really appreciate your tech support Schoondoggy 👍

I sort of wonder if the old battery pack could have been a reason, or could the card have gotten messed up during the Windows update?

Again I really appreciate your tech support.

Im copying all the files to a portable drive.

I learned a lesson.  Must have everything backed up regularly.

Schoondoggy, do you know of anyone still using one of these N40L Microservers?
