TonyTheTechie
HI, I have recently installed a HP Proliant Microserver Remote Access Card in my N40L which I purchased second hand off eBay Unfortunately after installation I can't access the card as the default id and password are not being accepted. I gather I can reset the password by reinstalling the firmware, but I can't find any step by step instructions on how to do this. I have also seen a comment on a manual site that 'You can use the IPMI tool via KCS to reset the administrator password to "password." Use the following Linux ipmitool command: ipmitool raw 18 47 82 2 0x70 0x61 0x73 0x73 0x77 0x6f 0x72 0x64 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 Again, I have found a site with an ipmitool to download, but I am not sure what KCS refers to. Can anybody help me get clarity on what I need to do. My N40L is currently installed with FreeNAS 11.2-RC2 Thanks Tony Self
