A camera bag that will hold drone, laptop, camera gear

Recommended Posts

I need a bag that will hold a small drone, laptop, camera gear, and other knick knacks.  Does this exist?

Here is what I'm looking at:

These messenger bags are really cool:

This one will not fit it all but I thought it was cool!

I am interested in this as well, my Peak Designs backpack will fit pretty much everything in it, but a messenger would be better as the airport check-in staff seem to have fewer issues with them

I’ve been through numerous different DSLR camera bags over the years as a pro photographer and have finally settled on a selection that works for me. Totally recommend Peak Design Everyday Backpack

Whoa! $259 for that bag.  I hope it makes sandwiches because that's all I can afford after buying that!  Must be a good one for a pro.

I'm still in my Lowepro Fastpack 100 for now.  It's a good bag to take to games and things when I need to be mobile. Still looking for that bag that will carry it all to the destination.  Then....break out the Fastpack i guess.

I just took the Peak Design Everyday Messenger 13 out of its shipping bag.  I'm looking forward to dragging it around with me at CES.  I'm also going to try the PD Field Pouch for a few days at CES.  I'm hoping I can stuff it with the things I need and get around without so much weight on me.  I'll let you know!

I didn't like it at all. I researched hours on this bag too! I really think I'm a backpack person and I came to realize that traveling to your destination and what you carry at your destination are vastly different.  The messenger didn't have quick access to things I wanted.

I have the field pouch already.  It is here - https://www.amazon.com/Peak-Design-Field-Accessory-Charcoal/dp/B017KOJZ1S/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1546702524&sr=8-3&keywords=peak+design+field

I returned the messenger and purchased the EveryDay Sling.  It is here - https://www.amazon.com/Peak-Design-Everyday-Sling-Camera/dp/B076B2NYGC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1546702472&sr=8-4&keywords=peak+design

The pouch can do a lot of things.  It's a catch all for your small things. Batteries, cards, wallet, etc.  It's really a purse.  You can also put a PD strap on it and throw it around your should like a small messenger.

The everyday sling is a big pouch that can go fannypack if you dare.

Here is the plan.  I'm going to travel with the backpack. It holds all I need.  The pouch goes in the backpack as usual.  I'm going to pack the sling in luggage.  At small events I'm going to try to use the pouch as my bag.  On bigger days where I need the SLR I'll use the sling.  I may just use the sling regardless but I now have options and saved a lot of cash in doing so.  <whew>  This was more difficult than it should have been!

Clarification. I have a zoom backpack. Similar to this:
Zoom Checkpoint-Friendly 15" Laptop Computer Backpack Bag Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E1QDPI8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8WenCbTN6TTNM

The lowepro I have is tiny. It has nice pockets but just for camera items. The zoom backpack is huge and holds everything but can be heavy due to that.
So far at CES, I'm doing well with the everyday sling. It holds a lot and I have the fast clip on it for my DSLR.
