Windows 10 1803 Update has broken Connector

Recommended Posts

oceang

I have just upgraded one device to 1803 Pro and the device no longer appears online to the dashboard and you cannot start a backup.

I have uninstalled and tried to reinstall the connector on the client with no success.

I use SkipDomainJoin.

I just get "cannot connect this this computer to the network, an unexpected error occurred" during the re-install process.

Anyone else tried this yet.

PS I do also have an Insider device that is successfully connected and has been for some time.

Ok, so back on this one now I'm at home, PC had locked up trying to remote update graphics drivers lol..

Anyways, connector now works, try rebooting a few times as thats pretty much all I've done...

I just tried a second system and I have exactly the same issue.

Did you do anything besides rebooting. I have done that a few times as well, including restarting the server and both clients with the same result.

I have no trouble accessing my shared folders  on the server via the same clients.

Trigor, do you use SkipDomianJoin?

Have rebooted a few times now and still fine, tested backup, all seems ok, have not done anything that I would expect to fix it, only thing that has been done was a driver update for my GPU...

Tested Dashboard, Launchpad and Backup, all seems ok to me...

IP on machine is DHCP, DNS is the server and then google..

Fixes it for me to now after all of my devices updated automatically via Windows Update obernight.  However, if you attempt to uninstall / re-install the connector you are stuck until Microsoft comes up witha fix.
