Disks over 2T

Maybe I'm very late to this party but I have struggled with the 2T limit on WHSv1 (aka Server 2003) read about special software etc.

I just found out that if I use a Windows 10 computer, make the disk dynamic, format it then take it off line I can put it in an eSata box(toaster) and WHSv1 has the option in Disk  to mount it and it works as 3T.

Previously I backed up WHSv1 to a share on another computer now it takes 12 hours to backup or restore previously it took more than 2.5 days.
