Agreed. Way to round out this product line. This really strengthens Orbi in my book. They now have units for almost every scenario.

I wonder if other vendors will show similar outdoor options. Good for Netgear to get out front.

Well done, Netgear.

Yet I’ve still found even their RBK50 SKU does an incredible job over a large area, providing coverage inside and out.

Nice job.  You will probably see others do the same thing if this takes off.  That price though is a little tuff to accept.

But JROrtiz, It has a yellow night light built in, Surly that justify the 330.00 price tag:D

All kidding aside, This is a great add-on to the already best whole home WiFi Mesh system.

A thought on why the price is high:

I helped a non-technical friend, who thinks he is technical, setup an Orbi system. It works great. This outdoor mesh unit is a perfect add on for their patio/backyard. If he installs it himself he will likely damage it. If he installs it were he wants it to be, it will take a beating from their kids. My guess is the price is high because Netgear assumes this will be used in rough use environments and they will replce more of these under warranty than they would on traditional Orbi product.

Just a guess.

It would work well in our environment near pool and outdoors year-round in extreme temperatures. May trial one.

Wonder if when it dies they say that it is not designed for outdoor use
