Yesterday I ordered an 8TB HGST NAS drive for my main storage pool. It was only $20 more than the 6TB, so I figured, "why not?". Now I'll be able to replace one of the 2x4TB, the 2TB, and the 1.5TB drives in my pool with the 8TB. The 4TB will move to one of my OffSite pools. Not sure what I'll do with the 2TB and 1.5TB.

Sorry, got ahead of myself, generally when people are 'shucking' drives then end up with 'sucky' drives!

My new 8TB HGST arrived about 30 minutes ago :) I'm letting it warm up to room temp before trying to use it. I hope that's the right thing to do.
