I dont have one but in the gen10 user manual it has all the information on page 63 and 64 depending on how you are connecting your disks. basically it tells you to download it.

RTFM

HPE Smart Storage Administrator

The HPE SSA is a configuration and management tool for HPE Smart HBA and Smart Array controller options. The HPE SSA exists in the following interface formats: • HPE SSA GUI • HPE SSA CLI • HPE SSA Scripting Although all formats support configuration tasks, some of the advanced tasks are available in only one format. In this server, HPE SSA can be accessed in both online and offline modes. In online mode, SSA is only accessible from the local server. To access, install, and launch HPE SSA in an online environment, download the HPE SSA executables from the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support Center website (http://www.hpe.com/support/hpesc). Under Select your HPE product, enter the product name or number, and then click Go. To access, install, and launch HPE SSA in an offline environment, download the HPE SSA ISO image from the HPE Smart Storage Administrator website: http://www.hpe.com/servers/ssa For more information, see the HPE Smart Storage Administrator User Guide: http://www.hpe.com/support/SSA_UG_en

SSA is only needed if you have added a HPE RAID or HBA. The SATA controller for the Gen10 is Marvell based. It can be setup during boot or through the MSU: https://homeservershow.com/index.php?/topic/15478-Setting-up-RAID-with-MSU

Hi, Its incredible how difficult HPE makes some easy things.

I take 4h to find this solution.

You enter Setup (F2) and change to legacy mode. Restart and Ctrl+M

Accessing the Marvell BIOS Utility under legacy boot mode

The UEFI boot mode is the server default boot mode. To switch to legacy boot mode, see Selecting the

boot mode on page 64.

Procedure

1. Reboot the server.

2. On the POST drive information screen, press Ctrl+M.
