kevin.cheng
You can DIY a 6-pin (hp motherboard) to 3/4-pin (fan) connector, so that you are able to use any 3/4-pin fans. Google "gen8 6-pin fan connector", you will know how to DIY one. If you don't know how to DIY, like me, then get one from Taobao (not sure you can accuse it or not), around USD$2 + shipping. https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.3aa334ebX3VeEF&id=532125640490&_u=j2sg3fnn016c Edited October 19, 2017 by kevin.cheng

kevin.cheng
I guess the system detected & found out something wrong about your cable or fan what did you do finally? hand-made a cable?
Melcu
I found a AFB1212HHE from DELTA. I ask a friend of mine to swich the cable from the one broken to the new one. In my mind this fan is the problem. Not beeeing HP branded it is not fully recognaized by motherboard. Got no ideea how to solve the problem. kevin.cheng
hmmm... really don't know then, may be fan issue, maybe connection issue... I think you got no choice but have to build a new one set the one you quoted is very noisy... Noise 44.0 dB(A) Edited November 22, 2017 by kevin.cheng
Melcu
It is not about how noise is doing ! Is just not working how it should. I might need another cooler. Did anyone here replace that fan with somethig that mb agree?
