Hi,
I have all the bays filled with harddrives and 16GB of ram.

I also have the e3-1265l v2 with the 65w heatsink (I think it's for 65w it's HPe's better heatsink for the gen8)

I'm running Windows server 2016 and I'm using Prime95 with smallFFTS it's the option that bring out the most heat from the CPU, Prime95 have been running for 40min now.

My Core temp (1-4) is pending between 76c and 80c according to OpenHardwareMonitor , the fan is running at 57% and the iLO CPU temp are 55c.

Is this too hot? is this heatsink better then the original one? I can't remember what temprature I did have with the original heatsink.

Should I try to adjust the heatsink with some new thermal paste? I'm using the MX4 for now, but I also have the Noctua H1 paste at home.
Or is this as good as it can bee?

Hi,

With a load at 14% on my server with an E3-1220 V2 my 02-CPU temp from iLO is around 50C (I assume you talk Celsius) and speed fan is around 6%.

So if you're stressing your server, I guess your temperature is OK. How low does it go when it's in idle mode?
