jmwills
Can anyone recommend a good add-on card? Thanks in advance.
Guest no-control
I've used generic in the past and any of these would work fine. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=40000410%20600022728%20600022661&IsNodeId=1&name=2%20x%20eSATA

solaralchemist
I've used several of the SYBA brand ones, with no problems yet
pcdoc
Let me be different. I have used several cards and they are fine and detect correctly. No issues with the cards. That being said, it is eSata cables and enclosures that I can not stand. Problematic cables, cable length issues, cable type issues, boot issues, lockups, and of course do not breath next to the connections. I have tried several combos of hardware and have yet to see acceptable results and finally gave up. Did not mean to rain on your plans but for me, I would rather use internal drives, or USB 3.0. eSata for me has been one of the worst hardware experiences I have had to date but not because of the cards. Guest no-control
I'll chime in that I cannot stand eSATA either, I share Doc's dislike for the connectors. Until USB 3 is more wide spread, and I see some damn internal headers, eSATA is one of the few options. USB 2 is just too damn slow.
