Access HDD disk array space?

So I have setup my gen8 with 1 SSD in the OOD and boots to Ubuntu 16.04. It is set as a Raid 0 array. I also have 2 4tb HDD's set to raid 1, but being new to Linux in this sense (windows you can see separate drives), I am not sure where this space sits as I only want certain data on it. I have added a couple of screenshots in hopes of getting some help. Am sure it is something easy, but want to ensure that I have this correct.

Using the gnome-disks or fd, I see the attached:

So digging further into this, it seems I need to do something within Ubuntu desktop to get this recognized. You have to have mdadm install in Ubuntu, correct? So do I have to mount these 2 HHD's and how will I know if they are truly in Raid 1 since these are showing as 2 disks running the gnome-disks command?
