Nothing has seemed to put a dent in the popularity and sales of the Mavic Pro.  GDU has performers like the Byrd Premium 1 and 2 but has not put a UAV out that has the specs to rival the Mavic.  If you recall, GDU, was first to market with a foldable even though DJI popularized it with the Mavic.  This may be in part to Byrd's more industrial type targeting while the Mavic was an "everyperson" drone.

That may be a thing of the past come September 6th at Interdrone.  GDU has sent invites out to show off the new flyer dubbed O2.  This new drone will be more targeted to consumers and show off the first ever "slide arm" technology where the drone arms actually slide into the body fully protecting the arms and rotors.  It will also be the first drone body to snap together with the controller further making it portable.

GDU has a teaser video up for Interdrone 2017.  I'll be at the show and will bring you the coverage of what is announced.
