Mac Pro SSD Adapter

Just had to order an OWC SATA adapter for my iMac. It is a workaround for Apple's onboard temperature sensor. They've managed to make everything more difficult than is necessary

As an update to this, and if anyone else gets stuck in the same boat..

 

I ended up pulling the drive out of a Macbook Pro, booting it from an external SSD drive, installing the OS on to that, and then putting the Mac Pro's SSD into the Macbooks SSD slot, worked a treat..

PITA but worked well, wasn't that slow really booting from USB SSD..

Unfortunately that's normal, although my USB-C MacBook Pro when utilising a 3.0 or 3.1 (USB C or that stupid micro connector) boots reasonably fast but only when utilising good quality cables
