buzurk
Hi I just installed the latest HP ESXi image, being VMware-ESXi-6.5.0-OS-Release-4564106-HPE-650.9.6.0.28-Nov2016 Prior to this i ran the HP SPP 871795_001_spp-2017.04.0-SPP2017040.2017_0420.14. All happily installed on an internal SD card inside the Gen8 After reading about the slow write performance i done the following esxcli system maintenanceMode set --enable true esxcli network firewall ruleset set -e true -r httpClient esxcli software vib remove -n scsi-hpvsa -f esxcli software vib install -v http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/hpq/nov2014/esxi-550-drv-vibs/hpvsa/scsi-hpvsa-5.5.0-88OEM.550.0.0.1331820.x86_64.vib esxcli system shutdown reboot -r "Rolled back to scsi-hpvsa build 88" I then created a Raid 1 array in the B120i ACU with 2x 2tb drives, giving me 1.82tb usable Going into ESXi, i went to add a datastore, and i see the two individual drives there, not a single drive as i would expect being in raid 1 after some more reading, i found that the hp b120i is more a "fakeraid", and some drivers need to be installed on esxi to work Edited May 13, 2017 by buzurk
